Biblis (1884) by the French academic painter William Adolphe Bouguereau (1825-1905).Biblis fell in love with her twin brother Caunus, who fled from her. She followed him throughout Asia Minor until she died from exhaustion and grief.
Here can be seen a very sad girl, but she didn't look exhausted at all.
